Dream of a Nation Action Center

Help us bring the DREAM of a NATION project to life!

We are raising funds to help pay for the first print run of Dream of a Nation, a citizen handbook that is the launching point for a national citizen engagement initiative. We’ve invested over three years into the development and design of the book and it is finished, we just need help in this final push to get the Dream of a Nation project off the ground!

The book is filled with the innovative and inspiring ideas of 60+ visionaries and pioneering organizations including Alice Walker, Vice President Gore, United for a Fair Economy, Common Cause, Geoffrey Canada, Human Rights Campaign, Veterans for Peace, Environmental Defense Fund, and more than 50 others, that encourage greater citizen awareness and engagement.

We’re trying to raise enough money to pay the bill for a print run of 10,000 books, which will cost $54,900. Eventually the books will pay for themselves and cover the costs of educator resources, the national tour, a future documentary film, and so much more. But we need to cover this substantial upfront cost that is crucial to lift the project off the ground. We are printing on 100% recycled paper right here in the USA. 100% of the author royalties go back to the participating organizations and to SEE Innovation to continue expanding public awareness initiatives.

We are asking you to support the movement, and as a ‘THANK YOU’ we’ll give you something in return! See right for rewards we will give at each giving level. For as little as $30- you’ll be helping us pay this giant bill and you’ll get your copy (or many!) of the book, shipped to you for free!

$10000 - Get 100 copies of Dream of a Nation (distributed how you wish), Tyson Miller (project director) will come speak at one of your events or gatherings (where you can have your 100 copies available to guests if you want!) and a VISIONARY credit on our website.

Get a Tax Deduction

Above the $55 level, much of the donation is tax deductible. So if you want to pay less in taxes and support a great project, please do!

Many individuals give 10% of their annual income to charitable causes. If you haven’t hit the mark yet for this year and have the means, please consider supporting the Dream of a Nation project.
